As part of our participation in THE MODERNA EXHIBITION 2010 we made an intervention within ONE-DAY SEMINAR ON FEMINIST STRATEGIES AND METHODS, October 23, 2010 organized by Moderna Museet. YES! Association / Föreningen JA! work We Will Open a New Front – lecture by Lee H. Jones was performed during the symposium in the afternoon where Diana Mulinari, Lawen Mohtadi and Tiina Rosenberg also gave a lecture each. At this occasion Lee H. Jones was played by Lea Robinson, actor and assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Director of the LGBTQ Advising & Programming, at Columbia University.
A video documentation of We Will Open a New Front – lecture by Lee H. Jones was available in the YES! Association’s digital archive – Sublime, said the association at THE MODERNA EXHIBITION, Moderna Museet, until January 9, 2011. A stack of posters (design: STUDIO SM) with the full lecture was placed by the archive. The posters were originally placed just outside the auditorium where the symposium took place and was a subtle way to reveal the fictitious character of the lecturer Lee H. Jones and indicate a link to YES! Association / Föreningen JA!
The 20th of November 2010, the actor Vivi Nielsen performed as Lee H. Jones at the Second Congress of Free Artists, Aarhus Kunstbygning, Arhus, Denmark, organized by the Camel Collective.
On the 9th of September 2013, the National Election Day in Norway, We Will Open a New Front – lecture by Lee H. Jones was performed in Bergen at the event Betrayed. This time Lee H. Jones was performed by performance artist Kate Pendry.
