Zafire Vrba (born 1980) is a Swedish-Czech artist and educator. Zafire has been based in Växjö, Sweden, Tel-Aviv, Israel and Darmstadt, Germany. Since 2010 Zafire has been living and working in Stockholm, Sweden where they are a member of the art collective Corso and the studio collective Detroit
Zafire Vrba is currently working to establish Tryggare Rum (Safer Spaces) as an educational tool to achieve inclusion and safety in schools and other learning environments. Presently, Zafire works with a variety of assignments and employers: as a special craft teacher for The Municipality of Stockholm, as a host for a sex education tv show for Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company (UR) and as an instructor in the educational program at the Marabou Park Art Gallery. Other projects managed by Zafire and colleagues include SVAR PÅ TAL, a think tank about verbal self defense, and FAGS – Feminist Art Gallery, Sweetheart.
YES! Association / Föreningen JA! is happy to announce that we will participate in the project WIR SPIELEN (WE PLAY) at NGBK in Berlin.
WIR SPIELEN (WE PLAY) is a series of events concerned with the topic of “we”, an inescapable utterance in the formation of collectivities, two letters that involve alignment, affects, bodies, spatial boundaries and political realities.
